The Siskiyou County Arts Council is partnering with IndigoMoon’s Jenny Florence to offer a FREE two week day camp that offers immersive arts education.

There are two sessions available each day, with enrollment limited to 20 participants per session. The camp will be held at the Cedar Grove Center in Dunsmuir, 4303 Oak St.

The camp will start July 22th, running two sessions each day Monday – Thursday, divided by age. Mornings (9am-12:00pm) will host 8-12 year olds, and afternoons (4pm-8pm) will host 13-17 year olds. Over the course of two weeks (M-Th) the participants will receive instruction in approximately 8 art forms/mediums culminating in a group project to be displayed for the public to view after the camp concludes.

These daily arts activities will broaden participants exposure to new and challenging art forms/mediums, explore their personal creativity through study/critique of the work of others, and develop collaborative skills creating a culminating group work.

Each lesson covers a specific form of art of and/or utilizes a new medium. Examples of lessons include sculpture, cyanotype, block printing, and charcoal drawing.

Registration submission ends July 12th, 2024. Confirmation of space in the program will be made by July 15th. Participants must confirm acceptance into the program or the space will be offered to another applicant.
