FEATURED ARTIST: Baruch Inbar
“ART BOT“
ARTIST STATEMENT
My artwork takes a rather enhanced view of educational, environmental and cultural issues in our country designed to evoke inspiration and thought in both the younger generation and beyond.
In my work, I navigate through colorful visual storytelling narratives and characters pertaining to the modern American way of life, our relationships with the environment and nature, our relationship with the Earth, and what it means to live in healthy communities that are part of our culture.
Having engaged and interrelated subjects such as the social identity, mass media and our individual voice within society, my work reproduces familiar visuals, arranging them into new pieces that are symbolic and metaphorical in nature. Often times these themes are combined into multi-media endeavors that incorporate mundane domestic objects done with whimsical touch and humor, and highly appealing to the younger generation.
A central focus of my work is geared towards children, as I have the sincere desire to empower, inspire and uplift them through my work. To me, the most important contribution that an artist can make on their community is by fostering such positive attributes for our future generations.
The most prominent attributes that I choose to emphasize through my media work and my direct work with children as their art mentor, is cultivating the skills of creative problem solving, embracing one’s unique identity and independent thinking.
To me, such skills are the most essential ingredients for healthy, thriving, diverse and abundant communities with a most promising futures, and it is my true honor and privilege to do my part in this grand endeavor.
