With support from the California Arts Council, the Siskiyou County Arts Council, in partnership with the county’s Veterans Leadership Council, Siskiyou County Museum and Siskiyou County Office of Education, offered veterans opportunities to recount and process their military experiences, and present their stories through an art exhibit, recorded oral history, and video. The Veterans in the Arts program also funded a school program and field trip to the Living Memorial Sculpture Garden to increase understanding and strengthen bonds within our community.
