Voices of the Golden Ghosts Receives Donation From Pacific Power Foundation
The Pacific Power Foundation has awarded Voices of the Golden Ghosts, a fiscal project of the Siskiyou County Arts Council located in Mount Shasta, California, a grant in the amount of $7,500 to assist in the presentation of their multi-disciplinary historical fiction performance reenacting scenes of early African Americans in California history.
Specifically, “this grant will support the free community presentation of Voices of the Golden Ghosts at College of the Siskiyou, and at local schools around Siskiyou County. The project features performances from local community members such as Dunsmuir’s own Victor Martin and Mount Shasta’s Isaiah Warren,” said Mark Oliver, Project Director.
“We are pleased to support the Voices of the Golden Ghosts with this donation from our Foundation,” said Todd Andres, Pacific Power Regional Business Manager. “The Pacific Power Foundation is committed to strengthening the vitality of our communities through such grants.”
As part of a county-wide series of performances, Voices of the Golden Ghosts will be presented on Thursday February 16th, at 7:00pm at the College of the Siskiyous Theater in Weed, 800 College Avenue, Weed. This event is free and open to the public. More information can be found at https://markoliver.org/golden-ghosts.
